We teamed up with Liberty Promenade to host a very special knitting drive for Mandela Day. Shoppers were welcomed to come and knit a square to donate to 67 Blankets. A buzz filled the air as everyone took part in knitting with a variety of different colour wools. The MC and proudly South African music filled the atmosphere with excitement and joy as all the shoppers knitted side by side. As an extra, interactive element, a live caricature artist painted a beautiful portrait of Nelson Mandela in real time for all the shoppers to enjoy. When people entered the knitting drive, their name was printed on a piece of ribbon using our personalized ribbon printers and added to our pledge wall as a thank you. It was a heart warming event to see how many people had donated their time in taking part in such a wonderful cause.
